The Barjo “Seat Lock” dog guard is manufactured to fit individual vehicles and is designed to fit with ease as no tools are required. Please read the instructions carefully prior to fitting.
- Remove the vehicle load cover and lay the rear seats flat (see vehicle handbook)
- As the guard is larger than the vehicle entry, it is necessary to place the guard into position as follows, hold the guard at approx. 45 degrees with the bottom of the guard entering the vehicle first.
- The guard needs to go past the vehicles seat lock mountings, then return to an upright position, care must be taken not to damage the vehicle trim and fittings during this operation.
- Ensure the guard is in an upright and central position with the lower part of the guard following the angle of the rear seat, with the bottom feet (when fitted) facing the rear of the vehicle. The seats can now be returned to the normal position, taking care not to trap the seat belts in the seat locks. In most cases if required the load cover can normally be replaced.
Your Barjo custom built dog guard is now ready for use. To remove, simply reverse the above procedure. In the event the seats will not lock, it may be necessary to adjust the seat locks. If you do encounter difficulty in fitting your guard please do not hesitate in contacting us on 0118 9890240
